The Secret Tunnel

I read "The Secret Tunnel" written by Rob Waring and Maurice Jamall.

Suddenly, Faye threw the diamonds at the wall. Tyler and David were very surprised.
"What are you doing, Faye?" shouted David. "Hey, they are my diamonds. Why did you do that? You'll break them!" "Diamonds don't break, David," said Faye.

The main characters in this story are usual students. David and John go to a museum with their friends to solve a problem given to them by their school teacher. There they learn about the town of Bayview. They have to find out about "Henry Sutton", but they can't find any information about Henry Sutton. There he is looking for Henry Sutton in the museum, and when he find some, they see some strange things. First of all, the statue of Henry Sutton had been moved  by someone else. And the diamond in the old box, which was kept so tightly, had come off. A picture of Henry Sutton hanging on the wall was wet. These strange things made them be curious and they decided to visit the museum again tomorrow. And when they went to the museum the next day, they found that the painting on the wall was gone. And the statue of Henry Sutton could easily be moved. They discovered that there was a secret door behind the statue. Leaving some friends alone, David, Tyler and Faye went into the secret door. There they found a fake diamond and a fake painting. This is the proof of the art robbers. They were about to leave in a hurry, but then they heard a man's voice behind them saying, "Too late."...

After I read this story, I thought that it was smart of them to notice those strange things and discover the art robbers. I haven't been to Museum recently, so I felt like to go there in Kumamoto.
