ER2021#1 0422 (The Truth Machine)

I read this book, "The Truth Machine".

"Yes!" laughed Professor Verity. "You fools! You gave me success. You gave me money. You gave me power. Now I am successful, rich and powerful."  


The main charcter of this story are 4 people. One is a profossor Verity who invented the truth machine.  Other three people are clients of Professor Verity.

One day, Professor Verity invents "The Truth Machine". It is a machine to force people to tell only the truth, not lie. He made it because he wantesd to make much money and wanted to be a famous people. He collected the offeres from all over the world, and he decided to three offers which he accepted. 

First client woman asked Professor Verity to reveal her husband mind. She wanted to know whether hur husband love her or not. She paid money to him to know the answer. And the other day, she could know the truth.
Second client was Inspector. He hates crime, so he asked Profrssor Verity to reveal who commit a crime. The other day, as well as first woman, he could get the answer.
Third client was a government officer, but a spy. He asked to Professor Verity to expose a secret of the enemy spy. The other day, he could use the machine with Professor verity in order to get the truth, but the opponent was also spy, so it is not easy and what the enemy spy said made him more confused.

The other day, three client talked about the truth machine. All three client got angry with the truth despite of each wishes, and they all didn't be happy anymore. Gradually, they were getting angry with the Professor Verity. 

[First woman lost hur husband. Second inspector lost his job because there was no more suspectors. And third spy lost what was the truth.]

They went to the Professor's laboratory, and asked to him that what was the real purpose of the invention. But, he didn't say the answer. As a result, Professor Verity  was forced to sit the chair of the machine and were asked question. The machine gave three client the reason why he had invented the machine. 

Inspector and spy got angry with his answer and attitude toward them, and at last, they broke everythings, the machine and the professor Verity too.

Goldilocks and the Bears

I chose the story "Goldilocks and the Bears" as my first review.  The story consists of three good bears and one bad girl. One day, when the bears left their home to go to the forest, a girl entered their house and did whatever she wanted, even if it wasn't good . After a while, the bears return and notice that someone is at home without their permission. I couldn't say the ending, but it was a very interesting story and the same time, it reminded me of my childhood when I did bad thing as this girl did in this story.

Good time in Global Lounge

~ Global Lounge ~ I visited the Global Lounge and  there were a lot of tools for students to study English. For example, there w ere DVDs, books, English games, iPad and magazines and so on. While I visited there, I read the pop-up picture book ”Alice in wonderland”. The books included many big pictures each page. I enjoyed the book because I rarely see such books. It was fun!    And also, I used a iPad to know what contents was included. The iPad included many content such as games, electric books and apps to listen to English. I experienced game which modeled on Riding Red Hood story. That was a amazing. I could learn English, enjoying games. The game has instructions written in English. So if there is a word that I don't know the meaning, I don't look it up and I guess it without looking it up myself. Because I want to keep playing the game. In Global Lounge, I had good and fun time, being surrounded by English contents. I am going to visit there again.

I read this book, "The Long Tunnel" written by John Milne 'Paul's in the cottage,' Sheila whispered to Charles. 'And he's a prisoner.' Four men carried all the bags into the cattage. They closed the door behind them and locked it. The main charcter of this book is Paul, Sheila and Charles. One day, Paul invited them to his uncle's cottage for 1 week because his uncle wouldn't there. They decided to go there, and they and Paul were planned for the day. That day,  Paul was supposed to go nearby station for them, but he wasn't there. Sheila and Charles thought that he forgot that they were supposed to come his cottage, and they went to his cottage by their own.  Following the map that Paul draw for them, they arrived the cottage, but there was unknown men and Paul wasn't there. They thought that there was something wrong and were worried about him.  After a few hours later, they found that the robbery were in his cottage and Paul's han
