ER 2021 #6 (May. 27)

 I read a book called "A tale of two cities". 

"They will be happy. Now I am doing something good. Now at last, I can rest."

The crowd cheered. 'Death to St Evremonde!' they shouted. And Sydney Carton smiled.


The main characters are Miss Lucie, Mr. Charls Darney and Mr. Sydney Carton, They look so similar in appearance that no one think that they are different people.

The story happens in France and England. The story starts with their visit to Miss Lucie's father who was in  prison in France. Doctor Manette does not remember his name or his daughter at first, but, as he goes to England with his daughter and kind man, Mr.Lorry and get better, his memory gradually returns back. they sometimes stand in the court as a witness, and this scene becomes very important in later scene. It is also the scene that they meet Mr. Sydney Carton, who will later become their friend.

Times passed, Miss Lucie and Mr. Charls Darney get married. They move from France to England to live. One day, Mr. Charls Darney's uncle, a marquis, is murdered. His uncle is a French aristocrat who kills a citizen's child by his horse kick while riding on a coach. He just gave the money to the father of the child and goes forward soon. The child's father later run to his coach and sussess to ride on it. And he stelas into his room and killed him.

In France where the aristocrats had been sent innocent people to prison without  any reason. So, the anger of the citizens finally led to a revolution. Because Mr. Charls Darney's uncle was a French aristocrat, all the citizens of France demanded that he also should be executed. His wife, Miss Lucie, and her father Doctor Mannet, cry and worry. Then, their common friend, Mr. Sydney Carton, comes up with a plan to help him. But it is not a easy plan and include much risk.

There is deep and strong friendship in the story, but readers maybe can't feel the happy because of this. If you want to know what happened to the country in the past and his courageous action, please read this!


I read this book and thought a lot about this story. I am not sure that Mr. SYdney's courgeous action is happy to his friends. I would like to read this book again when I grow up more.

Goldilocks and the Bears

I chose the story "Goldilocks and the Bears" as my first review.  The story consists of three good bears and one bad girl. One day, when the bears left their home to go to the forest, a girl entered their house and did whatever she wanted, even if it wasn't good . After a while, the bears return and notice that someone is at home without their permission. I couldn't say the ending, but it was a very interesting story and the same time, it reminded me of my childhood when I did bad thing as this girl did in this story.

Good time in Global Lounge

~ Global Lounge ~ I visited the Global Lounge and  there were a lot of tools for students to study English. For example, there w ere DVDs, books, English games, iPad and magazines and so on. While I visited there, I read the pop-up picture book ”Alice in wonderland”. The books included many big pictures each page. I enjoyed the book because I rarely see such books. It was fun!    And also, I used a iPad to know what contents was included. The iPad included many content such as games, electric books and apps to listen to English. I experienced game which modeled on Riding Red Hood story. That was a amazing. I could learn English, enjoying games. The game has instructions written in English. So if there is a word that I don't know the meaning, I don't look it up and I guess it without looking it up myself. Because I want to keep playing the game. In Global Lounge, I had good and fun time, being surrounded by English contents. I am going to visit there again.

ER2021 #2 (Apr.29)

I read this book, "The Long Tunnel" written by John Milne 'Paul's in the cottage,' Sheila whispered to Charles. 'And he's a prisoner.' Four men carried all the bags into the cattage. They closed the door behind them and locked it. The main charcter of this book is Paul, Sheila and Charles. One day, Paul invited them to his uncle's cottage for 1 week because his uncle wouldn't there. They decided to go there, and they and Paul were planned for the day. That day,  Paul was supposed to go nearby station for them, but he wasn't there. Sheila and Charles thought that he forgot that they were supposed to come his cottage, and they went to his cottage by their own.  Following the map that Paul draw for them, they arrived the cottage, but there was unknown men and Paul wasn't there. They thought that there was something wrong and were worried about him.  After a few hours later, they found that the robbery were in his cottage and Paul's han
