ER2021 #7 June 10th

 I read "A Ghost in Love and Other Plays" written by Michael Dean.

This book consists of three stories: "One Ghost for the Day, One Ghost for the Night", "Sleep now, My darling", and "A Ghost in Love". All story incluse Ghost in common.

In this vlog, I introduce two story in three.

"One Ghost for the Day, One Ghost for the Night": The main charcter is an aged man, Richard Little. One day, he heared the noise from the outside, but nobody was there. He was scared, and suddenly his friend came into his room. His friend's name is James Heston. He was dead already., so it means he is ghost. He visits Richard to ask him to take the money for his son from Keech, the father after Heston. At first, RIchard didn't want to do that because it was easy to expect that Keech would kill Richard if Richard do something to him. But at last he dicided to accept his friend's ask, and went to the coart. ... In the coart,  sometimes it is difficult to prove Keech bad action, but Heston came there and join the coart only with voice, so it was proved. And then Keech run away and the day was over. The other day, there was some noise outside of the Richard house. It was not ghost, but it is Keech! he came to kill RIchard......

"Sleep now, My Darling"

The main character are Jenny who is actress and Gilbert who is film director. They are husband and wife. One day, Gilbert said to Jenny that he had to go to America for his working for about 6 weeks. Jenny wanted to go there with him, but he said No because she had some work there in England, not in America. So he went to America alone. 

After six weekd, she went to the airport because it was the day that he was supposed to come back. While she was waiting for him while drinking coffee, one man came to her. He said he was film student, and know about her. They sit at same table and had some talking. In their talking, he said, " You aren't happy. I can see that." She got angry, but it was right a little.  And then her friend also come. she also asked what she was doinng everyday. It led her to unhappy feeling. She said "Be happy" and she left. Jenny and the mand talked a lot. But Jenny found the name of the man when he left her with his currybag. What was written on the bag was "Henry Gilbert Lawson"!! She was confused, and when she come in the airport, one man said he was calling her about Gilbert. He said, "I'm sorry, but Mr. Lawson's plane crashed in the sea. He's dead."....... So, what was that man?

I liked the second story very much. It was sad thing to Jenny, but at last she could make her mind. I thought that her dead husband, Gilbert, came to her in order to help her future without him by changing his appearance into what he was 20 years old. One more story that I didn't write was a little difficult, but a kind of sad and happy story for me. But I thought that Brad was good person because he decided to his action for the Gohst, Ellen.
